The unprecedented hike in oil prices is a matter of concern to the rich and poor, individuals and corporates, developed and under-developed nations alike.
Everyday as oil prices touches a new high it is wreaking havoc in the lives of the poorest and weakest global citizen. Oil being the common and only resource utilized on a universal scale affects every small commercial transaction. Thus the rise in price of essential commodities like food grain and vegetables is directly proportional to rise in oil prices. What one must understand though,is that the “rise in oil prices” is not an actual rise – it is an artificial hike in prices which is the by-product of much manipulative scheming by the speculators and terrorists which will destabilize the kingdoms and sheikdoms in Arab countries by their purchase of oil futures on the NYSE. This is a highly dangerous situation and it will break the backbone of the global economy and lead to poverty, hunger and economic breakdown.A comprehensive  study should be undertaken to study the trends adopted by the speculators in the oil market. The only method to check such corrupt and selfish manipulators is to proclaim oil as an essential commodity and hand over its pricing and distribution to the UN. The UN must form under its auspices a body comprised of delegates from oil producing as well as consuming states who consider all in fluency factors and fix a price for oil.
Moreover, oil being an essential commodity should be removed from the stock exchange because as long as it is in the market, it is capable of being manipulated. Unless this unhealthy trend is checked, the world will face an unprecedented economic disaster, food shortage and impoverishment which is all a deliberate outcome brought about by the action of a few greedy men.
I do not understand why the world leaders are still turning a blind eye on this problem.

Through the eyes of a High School Student .

I am worried when I see prices soaring even for mere grocery items .Even now the reason for this is the rise in oil prices around the Globe .Within a short period ,oil has gone from 40 dollars per barrel to 128 dollars but nothing substantial has taken place for this increase ,this is taking place due to the greed and speculative nature of Some .
I can see ordinary people a suffering greatly for daily bread ,but for all this there is no one solution for this rapid inflation .The only Solution is that world’s natural resources must be fully regulated (price only) by the United Nations .The price MUST be fixed by the UN According to inflation .
“There is already more than enough suffering going on in this world without adding on more Poverty and Hunger to the CYCLE” .
